Relating in Relationships

Whether you’re at the beginning, been dating for months, dating for years, or married, the one thing we can all agree on is that passion, lust and love only take a relationship so far. To have a long-lasting relationship, you have to relate.

Relating can mean different things. For some of you, it may be sharing a love for sports, books, religion, music or politics. For other people, it is that and more, like connecting spiritually and sharing values.

The great thing about being with someone you choose to be with is you can find a partner, mate or lover who can also be your best friend. When you have things in common, you have the best of both worlds. It is also important that the person you are choosing to spend so much time with or spending your life with respects that you will not always relate. In addition, you have to accept that it is ok to not agree on everything or always being able to relate.

So think about you. What interests you? Where do your passions lie? Does the person you are looking for, are dating or married to even know these things about you?
Do you know their interests and passions? Take some time to figure it out and bring your relationship to the next level.

With Love,
