When I think of summer and finding love during the summer, the first thing that comes to mind is that summer fling. I always thought summer flings were a high school or college thing, but it turns out, summer flings are HOT no matter what age you are.
So what is a fling anyway? I would define it as a short-term relationship with no strings attached. It is literally pure pleasure in whatever way you wish to define it.

It could be romantic, sexual, or just friends – but the point is, is that its short and blissful.
This got me thinking about the realities of emotions and summer flings? Is it possible that both people in the situation have no emotions attached to the relationship? Won’t someone get hurt eventually? What if that someone is you?
I am sure you all have seen Grease. Sandy and Danny fall in love and have an incredible summer romance and then “real life” begins and someone gets hurt – although in the play/movie, they both do because they realize that the summer fling,

I am onto something here. If you approach a relationship with no expectations, except pure pleasure, is it possible for the fling to turn into a long-lasting relationship? Without the pressure put on the individual you are pursuing, both on yourself and on them, could you actually find the love of your life? Perhaps, your summer fling could turn into a full fledged love affair.
I challenge you to pursue a summer fling and take it upon yourself to approach it as a fun, decadent way of meeting someone. Take away the checklists and focus on the chemistry.

This is so true. In my experience, it is those relationships that you go into with no expectations, just to have fun that end up to be the best ones.
